Historical Description
NELSON or Isle of Hogs (Co. Normanby), is a small village on the border of S. Australia; it is situated at the punt which crosses the Glenelg river, on the track from Portland viâ Bridgewater to Adelaide; the Long Swamp lies to the S.E., and the coast of Discovery bay is within 2 miles S. The geological formation is miocene tertiary, the rocks being very rich in fossils.
