Hurleston History

HURLESTON, 2 ½ miles north-west from Nantwich, is a township and scattered village. The Shropshire Union canal passes through. Henry J. Tollemache esq. M.P. is lord of the manor and the principal landowner. The area is 1,376 acres; rateable value, £2,602; the population in 1891 was 117.
