Bulkeley History
BULKELEY is a township, 6 miles north-east from Malpas, and 4 east from Broxton railway station, in the Nantwich union and county court district. A Mission church was erected here in 1893, and there is also a Primitive Methodist chapel. The Marquess of Cholmondeley is lord of the manor and principal landholder. The area is 975 acres; rateable value, £1,740; the population in 1891 was 180.
Petty Sessions are held at Broxton Petty Sessional Court House the last Tuesday in each month at 10.30 a.m. occasional courts are held at the Malpas & Tattenhall Police Stations when necessary.
