Carleton History

CARLETON is a hamlet in the parish of Drigg, about 1 mile south of the church, and the same distance north of Ravenglass. Hall Carleton is also a hamlet. The Hall, a neat modern residence, is the property of the trustees of the late E. A. Burrows esq. and is at present occupied by the Misses Barratt. Carleton Green, is the residence of John Dalton Watson esq. J.P.
