Lidwell hamlet is about 1 ½ miles west, and consists of one farm house and some cottages; in this hamlet stands the ruined chapel of St. Mary. The Rev. George Ferris Whidborne M.A. of the Priory, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol, is the chief landowner.
