Ellacombe History
ELLACOMBE is an ecclesiastical parish, formed August 4th, 1868. Christ church is a plain building of stone, consisting of apse, nave, north aisle, south porch and a western tower with spire: there are 850 sittings. The register dates from the year 1868. The living is a vicarage, net yearly value £400, with residence, in the gift of trustees, and held since 1901 by the Rev. John Percy Baker M.A. of Emmanuel College, Cambridge.
