Aislaby History
Aislaby is a village and township, in the parish of Eaglescliffe, 1 mile west. The principal landowners are the Earl of Eldon and Lieut.-Gen. Sir H. M. Havelock-Allan bart. V.C., K.C.B., M.P., D.L., J.P. The area is 1,750 acres; rateable value, £1,571; the population of the township in 1881 was 125.
