Crowdleham History
Crowdleham, three-quarters of a mile east, is a hamlet in Kemsing parish.
Crowdleham House, now the residence of William Rudgard esq. was formerly in the possession of the Bunce family, whose estates were forfeited in 1651 for treason against the Parliament; the estates were returned on the restoration of Charles II. and the owner, James Bunce, was knighted.
