Little Ealing History

Little Ealing is a hamlet of a few houses, three quarters of a mile south-west from Ealing, and 1 mile north from Brentford, in St. Mary’s parish. At Place House, in this hamlet, lived Sir Francis Dashwood bart, and other persons of distinction; Gen. Charles Francois Dumouriez, the victor of Jemappes (Nov. 6th, 1792), died here 14th March, 1823. Zachary Pearce D.D. Bishop of Bangor (1748) and of Rochester (1756) died here 29th June, 1774.
