CLAPTON, UPPER and LOWER, are portions of the parish of Hackney, and form part of the Metropolitan Borough of Hackney under the “Redistribution of Seats Act, 1885,” which, under the provision of the “Local Government Act, 1888,” is now included within the “County of London,” created under that Act; they are not now given in the Directory of the County of Middlesex, but are included in Kelly’s London Suburban Directory.
