LAMPTON is a small village or hamlet in Heston parish, 1 ½ miles south-east, 2 ½ miles west from Brentford, and 11 ½ from Hyde Park Corner, in the Brentford division of the county, Isleworth hundred, Brentford petty sessional division, union and county court district, a mile and a half north from the London and South Western station at Hounslow and about half a mile north-by-west from the Heston-Hounslow station of the Metropolitan District railway: it contains but few inhabitants, principally depending on agriculture and brickmaking. There is a Mission Room, in Lampton road, in which divine service is held on Sunday by the vicar of Heston, 6.30 p.m. and Wednesdays at 7 p.m.
