Colnbrook History

Colnbrook adjoins this, and has a station on the branch of the Great Western railway from West Drayton to Staines, opened in Sept. 1885. The river Colne, which is here crossed by a bridge of one arch, separates the counties of Middlesex and Bucks, the greater part of Colnbrook being in the latter county, and the smaller part being, with Poyle, in Stanwell parish and in the county of Middlesex: here are Baptist and Primitive Methodist chapels.
