The church of St. Mary is an edifice of stone in the Perpendicular style, consisting of chancel, with vestries on the north-east, nave of four bays, north aisle, south transept, and a tower on the south side, with embattled parapet, containing a clock and 6 bells: the base of the tower forms a porch: there is an Early English font with a carved oak cover, provided in 1898, and in the transept is a piscina: the east and west windows are stained: the church was restored in 1860, and affords sittings for 350 persons. The register dates from the year 1563. The living is a rectory, net yearly value £300, with 38 acres of glebe, and residence, in the gift of and held since 1891 by the Rev.
