The church of All Saints, a building of flint and stone, in the Perpendicular style, stands in the centre of the town, and consists of large chancel, nave with clerestory, aisles, north and south porches, a handsome lofty western embattled tower with pinnacles (built by John de la Pole, Duke of Suffolk, whose monogram is on a shield over the porch) and containing 8 bells, rehung in 1878, and a clock, placed in the tower in 1872: the east window is stained: the organ was erected in 1873, at a cost of £300: the whole fabric was completely repaired and refurnished in 1872, the chancel and both aisles re-roofed and the seats replaced by carved oak benches: the churchyard was also enlarged and enclosed at a total cost of £3,500: the church now affords 650 sittings.
