The living is a rectory, net yearly value £460, including 119 acres of glebe and residence, in the gift of Mrs. Brooke, but pro hac vice the Crown, and held since 1888 by the Rev. Cecil Frederick Blyth MA. of Christ’s College, Cambridge. The cemetery, consecrated April 26th, 1875, is 1 ½ acres in extent; the land was given by the Rev. John Parkinson Sill MA. rector 1858—83. The town lands are under the management of trustees, and comprise about 75 acres and 5 tenements, the proceeds, of which, now about £51 yearly, are divided into three equal portions-one for the church, one for the school and one for the poor.
