Stapleton History

STAPLETON is a township, 3 miles east-north-east from Barton. This township is partly in the parish of Barton and partly in that of Craft, The soil is light loam; subsoil, gravel; the chief crops are wheat, oats, barley, potatoes, turnips and seeds. The area is 880 acres of land and 21 of water; rateable value, £1,554; the population in 1911 was 155.
