Stock’s Bridge is a thriving and populous village, principally in the chapelry of Bolsteratone, but partly in Hunshelf, in the parish of Penistone. Here are Congregational chapels with schools attached, and others belonging to the Wesleyans, Primitive Methodists and Catholics.
