Hazlewood History

Hazlewood and Storiths form a joint township in the ecclesiastical parish of Bolton Abbey, from which it is 1 ½ miles north-east, in the moors. The area is 3,487 acres; rateable value £1,293; and the population in 1871 was 181. The Duke of Devonshire is lord of the manor and the principal landowner.
