Gransmoor History
GRANSMOOR is a township, 3 miles south from Burton Agnes and 8 ½ south-west from Bridlington. The chapel of ease, built in 1839, is an edifice of brick, consisting of nave only, and affords 50 sittings. Here is also a Wesleyan chapel. Joseph Cliff esq. of Scawby Grove, Brigg, Lines, is the principal landowner. The area of the township is 1,308 acres; rateable value, £1,578; the population in 1911 was 85.
