Thornholme History

THORNHOLME is a township, three-quarters of a mile north-east from Burton Agnes and 5 south-west from Bridlington. There is a Primitive Methodist chapel here, erected in 1892. William Herbert St. Quintin esq. of Scampston Hall, is lord of the manor and principal landowner. The area is 1,202 acres; rateable value, £1,669; the population in 1911 was 77.
