Sutton History

Sutton is a small agricultural village and township, partly in the parish of Burghwallis and partly in that of Campsall, distant 2 miles south from the latter village. There are a few small charities. The principal landowner is George Anne esq. The area is 734 acres; rateable value, £1 ½97; the population in 1871 was 100.
