Northholme History
NORTHHOLME is a township in the parish of Great Edstone, 4 miles south from Kirby Moorside. John Rutland Wheatley esq. of Sharrow Lodge, Sheffield, is lord of the manor and sole landowner. The soil is strong clay; the subsoil, strong clay and gravel. The chief crops are wheat, oats and barley; the area in 545 acres; rateable value, £549; the population in 1911 was 31.
