Howden Dyke History

HOWDEN DYKE is a small village in the parish and union of Howden, on the river Ouse (over which is a ferry to Goole), 1 mile south-east from Howden. The manufacture of chemical manures is extensively carried on here. Here is a Congregational chapel, erected in 1848, and seating 60 persons.
