Thorpe History
THORPE is a township, and consists of one farm, called Thorpe Hall, 1 ¼ miles north-east. There are no manorial rights. Marmaduke Athorpe esq. is the principal landowner. The area is 265 acres; rateable value, £576; the population in 1911 was 46.
