Little Langton History
LITTLE LANGTON is a township in the parish of Great Langton; the village adjoins. Langton Hall, a mansion of brick standing in a park of 125 acres, is the seat of Capt. Alexander John Fife, lord of the manor and principal landowner. The soil is clay, with parts sandy loam and gravel; the subsoil the same. The chief crops are wheat, oats and beans. The area is 1,003 acres of land and 16 of water; rateable value, £1,018; the population in 1911 was 107.
