Angram History

Angram is a township, in the parish of Long Marston, situated a mile and a half south, and is, for parliamentary purposes, included in the North Riding. Ed ward Christopher York esq. is lord of the manor and owner of the Boil. The soil is clay; the subsoil is gravel and clay. The area, 519 acres; rateable value, £637; and the population in 1871 was 49.
