Bashall Eaves History

Bashall Eaves is a small township in the parish of Great Mitton, distant 1 ½ miles north, and is purely a grazing district. There is a chapel tor Wesleyans and a small Sunday school. Miss Margaret Pilling-Taylor, lady of the manor, and Colonel Hargreaves are the chief landowners. The area is 3,806 acres; rateable value, £3,730; population (1871) 242.
