Timble History
Timble (Little) is a small township, 6 miles north from Otley, in the vale of Washburn, in the union of Wharfedale, and Otley county court district. The Duke of Devonshire is lord of the manor. C. L. Kay esq. and Mr. John Bramley are the principal landowners. The soil is clayey. The chief crop is oats, with pasture. The area is 420 acres; rateable value, £819; and the population in 1871 was 63.
