High Catton History

HIGH CATTON is a township and pleasant village, about one mile west from Low Catton. Here are Wesleyan and Primitive Methodist chapels. Lord Leconfield is lord of the manor and principal landowner, and there are various small freeholders. The area is 1,683 acres of land and 1 of water; rateable value, £2,266; the population in 1911 was 147.
