Heworth History

Heworth, also in the North Riding, is on the northeast. By Local Government Board Order No. 31,643, the greater part was added to York, the remainder being formed into a civil parish known as HEWORTH WITHOUT. The area of the new parish is 1,156 acres of land and 3 of water; rateable value, £4,036; the population in 1911 was 455.
