Esh'-kol, a bunch of grapes. i. One of Abraham s allies, who dwelt with him in Mamre, and accompanied him in the pursuit of Chedorlaomer and other confederate kings, who pillaged Sodom. Gen. xiv. 24. 2. A valley or brook in which the Hebref. messengers who went to spy the land of Canaan, cut a branch of grapes, so large that it was as much as two men could carry.
