The average annual salary has been added for 1.3 million surnames across eleven nations and territories: Canada, Colombia, England, Guernsey, The Isle of Man, Jersey, Northern Ireland, Norway, Scotland, The United States and Wales.

Rankings of the surnames with the highest and lowest salaries can be viewed on the links above and data for a specific surname can be viewed by navigating to a surname page and scrolling to the demographics section, such as for Goldstein.

The data can give numerous insights into the distribution of wealth. For example, in Canada, it is evident that the wealthiest families are overwhelmingly Jewish. While the poorest families are primarily a mix of indigenous Canadians, Québécois and African immigrants. The United States has a much more varied spectrum of high earners, with strong representation of Italian, Irish, Dutch and Iranian surnames. While the surnames with lower salaries contain heavy representation from Hispanic and primarily Afro-American surnames.

It also shows differences in salaries between nations. For example, Nybakke is among the poorest surnames in Norway; with its bearers making just 72.5% of the average salary in Norway. While in The United States Nybakke are considerably more wealthy than average, making over 28% more than the average American.

More demographic statistics by surname will be added shortly; starting with political affiliation (US and Uruguay) and religion (multiple countries, including The US and Lebanon).
