Jared Cain O'Mara was recently elected as MP for Sheffield Hallam, ousting former deputy Prime Minister, Nick Clegg. He was singled out by the political news site Guido Fawkes as a person of questionable moral standing before winning his seat in Parliament. It began with their June 2017 piece covering his membership of a band, which performed a song called I Wish I Was a Misogynist that contained the lyrics:

I wish I were a misogynist I’d put her in her place I wish I were a misogynist I’d smash her in her face

Since Guido have published numerous articles documenting O'Mara's fifteen-year track record of ungentlemanly conduct, comprehensive disrespect of women, use of racial epitaphs, defamation of homosexuals and a call for the violent murder of a musician who displeased him.

Jared's name (Jared Cain O'Mara) has a rather bland literal meaning: descent acquired from the merry one.

  • Jared – descending1
  • Cain - acquired2
  • O'Mara – descendant of the merry one (Meadhra)3

This merriment seems to have been inherited by Jared, who is often photographed with a beaming smile. Now suspended from the British Labour Party, O'Mara may soon find he more resembles the characteristics of Cain, a Biblical figure who was punished by God for his sins to a life of wandering. However, Labour's standards for dismissal have been lax under the stewardship of Jeremy Corbyn with instances such as supporting moving millions of people based on their ethnicity not being grounds for removal.
