Welsh Outlook (1914-1933)

A monthly journal of national social progress. It contained news, commentary and articles on politics, the arts, and education, book reviews and correspondence, with some Welsh poetry.

Tir Newydd (1935-1939)

A Welsh-language quarterly literary magazine containing cultural essays, book reviews, short stories, poems and political commentary. It also includes publisher’s advertisements.

Lleufer (1944-1979)

A quarterly Welsh-language journal with general and academic articles, book reviews, poetry and fiction. It includes advertisements and society notes.

Cumbria Ballards and Poems (1874)

Several ballads and poems recording the darker aspects of the regions history involving outlaws, the Reivers and warfare.

Rev. John Rawlet (1642-1686)

A biography of a preacher and poet, who held positions in Wigan, Kirkby Stephen and Newcastle.

Y Fflam (1946-1952)

A quarterly Welsh-language literary magazine containing poems, short stories, book reviews and artwork. It also includes publisher’s advertisements. Its editors, J Gwyn Griffiths, Davies Aberpennar and Euros Bowen, promoted the work of Welsh-language writers aligned with Plaid Cymru and radicalism, including R S Thomas.

Kirkby Stephen Poem (1842)
