From Agullon, or Aiguillon, near Alençon. William de Aiguillon, Sire de Trie, defended Pont Audemer against Henry I., 1123 (Ord. Vitalis). He was son-in-law of Theobald Paganus (De Montmorenci), seneschal of Gisors, and died in Palestine, 1147. For the subsequent barons of Aguillon, see Colley-Wellesley. Isabella de Agellion was lady of Scroteby, Norfolk, 1316.
