Al Qawasmeh is a tribe which originates in Jordan and Hebron, Palestine. There exist many sub-divisions within the family. One of the well-known sub-divisions originate in Jordan known as (Al Unis). The biggest and wealthiest woods, cement and stone traders are from this tribe, as it is quite clear history has seen this tribe dominate most building supply trades in Jordan as a whole. There are claims that there exists a direct correlation between the Al Qawasmeh tribe and the Prophet Muhammed. Therefore it makes tribes such as Bani Hashem, Al hashmi, Al Nashmi, Al Qasim, Al Qasmi and many other Saudi based tribes to some extent related.
