Several individuals were charged with 'revising' (ravishing, perhaps 'abducting' is meant) Jonet Aldioye in 1552 (Trials, I, p. 421), and Margaret Auldjoy, wife of an Edinburgh citizen, is in record, 1537 (Laing, 415). Peter Aldjeo, advocate, and Claude Algeo, servitor to Claud Hamiltoun in Paisley, are mentioned in 1628, and Thomas Aldgeo was excommunicated in the kirk of Paisley in same year for popery (RPC., 2. ser.
