John Barcleyth was retoured heir of Tames Barcleyth in Cowtray, his father, in the lands of Cowtray, 1600 (Retours, Fife, 87). Agnes Barclet was retoured heir of David Barclet, portioner of Luthrie, 1607, and Margaret Berclit was retoured heir of James Berclit in Boddumcraig, in lands in the barony of Balmerinoch, 1647 (ibid., 187,705). William Barclett is recorded in the Holmeheid of Pitcairlie, 1632 (Dunblane).
