The seal of Patrick bears an eight-rayed figure and S' Patrit de Bardonan (Bain, II, p. 198,210, 558). These two individuals may have been sons of Adam mac Nes (Ade filius Nesonis) of Bardonan, who was killed in the Isle of Man in 1289 (ER., I, p. 35). Bardonan is now Bardannoch near Moniaive.
