This last name crossed the ocean and many carried it in the New World. Also in Santa Cruz de Tenerife there is a toponymic branch of the surname in the place of San Andrés y Sauces. In Las Palmas del Gran Canaria we find very old branches of the surname that settled in the towns of Arrecife, Las Palmas, Ginamar del Telde, Puerto del Carmen and Tias. The name Bermudez is today one of the most abundant of the Spanish geography, being regularly distributed by all the regions of Spain.
