The Bhilwaria are an Indian Kshtriya clan, who claim Suryavanshi lineage. A dynasty belonging to this clan ruled over the kingdom of Bhilwara in Rajasthan. The name of the clan is also transliterated as Bhilware, Bhillwara, Bhillwariya, etc.
The Kshtriya community majorly include: Rajput, Thakur, Suryavanshi, Rathore, Gahlot, Sisodia, Solanki, Bhadoria, Chauhan, Rajkumar, Tomar, Karar, Chandel, Bahelia, etc. Bhilwarias are a small part of the community.
The Bhilwaria dynasty traced its ancestry to Thugapa, a son of the 15th century Buhila king Tarasingha. The main branch of the Buhila dynasty ended with their defeat against the Sahuji dynasty at the Siege of Chittorgarh. In 1626, Rana Singh who belonged to a cadet branch of that clan; however regained control of the region, re-established the dynasty, and also became the propounder of the Bhilwara dynasty clan, a branch of the Buhila dynasty.

Bhilwariya is originally a small kingdom of Rajasthan. In the medieval period, the protection of many temples used to be the responsibility of these people. They were the worshipers of Lord Shiva. Many books give a lot of medieval evidence when the Islamic invaders attacked the temples, they first encountered the Bhilware warriors. They generally lived around the temple complexes and also Used to do farming as well as their secondary job
Timur Lung was stopped by the Bhilware warriors. Among the armies that prevented Alexender from entering India, Bhilware were the same. Timur Lung was so scared by their bravery that instead of fighting face-to-face, he resorted to deceit and killed thousands of soldiers while sleeping.
Frequent skirmishes with the greatly reduced the Bhilwaria power and the size of their kingdom.
