From La Bisse, Normandy. Bichard de la Bisse occurs in 1180 in the Duchy (Magni Rotuli Scaccarii Normanniae), and his estate is mentioned (Ib.). William de Bisa witnessed in 1115 a charter of Stephen, Earl of Albemarle, for Alcey Abbey, Normandy (Mon. ii. 999).
