- erflogen

The Bjelopavlić surname originated from a man called Pavle. Around the time of Battle of Kosovo he went down to area of Montenegro between Nikšić and Podgorica. He was a servant for people who inhabited that area. When queen Jelena Anžujska came there, she had asked someone to show here the area of Onogošt no one wanted to do so, exceor for Pavle. As he was a servant he did not really have a family name. The queen allowed him to have one. Since he had had white hair she named him Bjelopavlić, or 'white Pavle'. The name of the whole area he had moved to is now Bjelopavlići, where many new important Montenegrin tribes came from.
