William de Blakburne appears as Abbot of Cambuskenneth, 1394 (Cambus., 17), John Blacburne was killed by the Armestrangis in 1501 (Trials, I, p. 102), John Blakborn was tenant in Stobo, 1533 (Rental), and Arnchimbald Blakburne was burgess of Glasgow, 1550 (Protocols, I).
