Roger Blencamshoip or Blencamshape had a charter of lands of Laglene in the sheriffdom of Ayr in the reign of Robert I (RMS., I, App. II, 327), William de Blancanhop was burgess of Arne, 1415, and another William Bkemcamhop was burgess there in 1475 (Ayr, p. 9, 91).
