From the lands of Bogie (anciently Bolgyne) in the parish of Abbotshall, Fife. John filius Malcolmi Bolgy was burgess of Aberdeen in 1317 (SCM., V, p. 11). John Bolgy, custumar of Edinburgh, 1327 (ER., I, p. 81). William Bolgy appears as chaplain in Perth in 1455, and John Bolgi was sergeant to the Friars there in 1477 (Milne, p. 48, 81). Robert Boggie of Kinnastoune was retoured heir of Robert Boggie of Kinnastoune, his father, in lands in the parish of Leuchars, 1690 (Retours, Fife, 1309).
