BRIDIN: Brydinus, vicar of Tene (now Tain), was present at Kenedor in Moray at the settlement of a dispute between the bishops of Moray and Ross, 1227 (REM., p. 82). Bridin potanach and Bridi Camb' were two of the assessors of the lands of Dunduff, 1231 (RD., p. 111). Bridinus was son of Bridinus puddyng, a serf of the Abbey of Dunfermline in thirteenth century (ibid., p. 222). Bridin, son of Kolin, son of Anegus the shoemaker did homage to the prior and convent of St. Andrews at Dull, 1264 (RPSA., p. 349). Richard, son of Bridin was burgess of Dundee, 1321 (HP., II, p. 225), and Bridinus called Candelane was bailie of Roxburgh c. 1338 (Dryburgh, 313).
