James Buckle recorded in Nether Robertland, 1678—1688 (Corsehill, p. 150,177), and Alison Bucle was dispossessed in 1684 (RPC., 3. ser. X, p. 221). Andrew Buckle, exiled Covenanter, was drowned off Orkney, 1679 (Hanna, II, p. 253), and Hugh Buckle, was burgh officer of Irvine, 1698 (Irvine, II, 66).
