It later crossed to the Buganda kingdom around the 19th century through a pact or treaty signed between two friends (one a Munyoro another a Muganda) these two believed that their friendship needed to grow to blood level and one named Bwiiko a Munyoro named his friend's son Bwiiko (Charles Lwanga Bwiiko) they had agreed that both were to give each other's son the friend's name and to continue with that for generations, the current holder for the name Bwiiko is Vicent Parker Kiyingi Bwiiko a great grand son to the friend of the first holder of the name Bwiiko.
