This name was used by a group of guards in the Spanish kingdom during the 18th century. The first man who carried this surname to Mexico was an land owner during the colonisation of Mexico. He was located in Guanajuato, Mexico. After that the surname became common in Mexico and in the US, where he used to have a house located at Camarillo, California.
